About ARMHA-NJ
Anti-Racist Mental Health Alliance of New Jersey (ARMHA-NJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to examining and addressing the racial inequities in the mental health field and society at large. ARMHA-NJ includes mental health professionals, consumers of mental health services, and others who are committed to addressing racism in mental health training, research and scholarship, clinical practice, and services in our communities. Our mission is to actively identify racism in ourselves, in others, as well as in social systems and structures, in order to promote equitable ideas and policies in mental health services and education throughout New Jersey.

Vision Statement
Our vision is the creation of an anti-racist mental health system, that aims to liberate all people from psychological suffering and promote psychological health toward establishing a more just society. Such a system would rely on a strength-based, healing-centered focus that recognizes resilience within the individual, families, and communities, as well as the liberating power of identifying and resisting oppression.
